Bhubaneswar has excellent communication with the outside world. The city is conveniently linked to all the International Airports in India by Air, Rail and Road.
Air : Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar has regular flights to and from all the major cities of India and to the state capitals. Work is in progress to upgrade the Biju Patnaik Airport into an International Airport.
Road : A well planned public transport system connects different locations within the city. It is connected with cities in Odisha and India through State and National Highways. Cars are readily available for hire from numerous travel agencies in the city.
Railways: There are direct trains to and from Bhubaneswar to all the major cities of India. Railway is the most preferred, safe and cheap mode of travel in India, though a bit time consuming.
