Like every year, KIIT University has posted excellent record in the ongoing campus placement processes for 2016 passing out batch in its all Schools. It is again on the threshold of achieving cent percent placement with 91% of the total of 3214 registered and eligible students of 2016 passing-out batch already placed.
Schools of Engineering (B.Tech. programme) recorded 92% placement. School of Rural Management and School of Management achieved 100% and 83% placement respectively. Similarly, School of Law and School of Biotechnology registered 85% and 98% placement respectively. School of Computer Application achieved 84% placement for its MCA students. Placement processes are still continuing in full swing and all Schools are poised to achieve cent percent placement in the coming weeks.
Campus placement process in these six Schools generated 4566 jobs from 210 companies so far – many students have received multiple job offers. Salary package offered this year is higher compared to previous years. While the highest package is Rs. 33 lakh, average salary this season is Rs. 4.6 lakh.
KIIT University uniquely places equal emphasis on academic placement, meticulously grooming interested students for higher studies and actively supporting their efforts to secure admission in reputed institutions. This year also, many students have been selected in reputed national and international institutions / Universities for higher studies. Students have got confirmed offers from top universities in Switzerland, France, Norway, Canada, Poland and Germany for Ph.D. and other higher studies courses.
KIIT was established as an institution imparting degree engineering programme in 1997. First batch of students passed out in 2001. Ever since, it has been achieving very successful campus placement for its graduates. The University has been able to achieve consistently excellent placement record due to its innovative teaching-learning system, driven by a highly qualified and competent team of faculty, which brings out the best in its students. Numerous academic conferences, seminars and workshops are organized here round the year, which are attended by eminent academicians, legal luminaries, corporate leaders, policy makers and scientists, including Nobel Laureates. Students get unmatched exposure from their interactions with them. Apart from these, KIIT has created enormous infrastructure and facilities, which are most conducive to academic pursuit.
Record placement this year has resulted in a wave of joy among young passing-out graduates of the University, who come from across the country, and their guardians. “I was always sure of my ward's bright future when I sent him to KIIT”, said an elated parent. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS personally congratulated the students and praised their high learning rigor and enthusiasm for the placement training organized by KIIT's Training and Placement Cell. He also encouraged the students to go for academic placement in foreign universities for their higher studies and take advantage of the tie-ups the University has made with over 140 reputed universities across the world. Samanta attributed this year's remarkable placement to the combined effort Training & Placement Cell, academic staff and intelligentsia of KIIT, the students.
All Schools of KIIT University had recorded excellent campus placement in 2015 too. Last year, as many as 320 companies and organizations had participated in the campus placement process in six Schools generating 3627 offers for 2848 registered and eligible students.

Record Placement in Schools of Engineering of KIIT for 2016 Passing-Out Batch
4030 jobs from 82 companies; Students bag multiple offers
- Over 92% students of Schools of Engineering have already bagged job offers
- 4030 jobs generated in campus so far, most students bag multiple offers. As many as 82 companies have visited the campus.

- It is rare for any institution of the country to generate so many job offers on Day 1 in ratio to the number of students appearing.

In the most remarkable ever performance in campus placement, Schools of Engineering (B.Tech programme) of KIIT University created record 3800 jobs for 2015-16 pass-out batch on Day 1. The four major head-hunting companies - Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys - that visited the campus came up with a total 3406 job offers. While Accenture led the list with 1414 job offers, Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys followed with 899, 705 and 388 job offers respectively.
As on March end, as many as 82 companies have visited the campus offering total 4030 jobs and recruiting 92% of the total registered and eligible students. This means many students have got more than one job offers in their hands. The salary package offered was also higher than the previous years. The highest salary package offered (two students) was Rs. 33 lakh by a Japanese MNC, Work Applications. The average salary in the batch was Rs. 4.5 lakh.
Many early-bird head-hunting companies like Ericsson, Deloitte, iNautix, MU Sigma and Robert Bosch visited the campus even before the start of the current Campus Placement Season.
A senior official of the Training and Placement Cell expressed confidence that a few hundred remaining students of 2016 pass-out batch shall also be placed as visits by many national, international and multi-national companies have been lined up for the up-coming days. Total job offers have already topped 4000, which is an all time high, he added. Placement activities will continue till May 2016 with another 75 companies scheduled to visit. This apart, many students are likely to join reputed national and foreign institutions for higher studies. KIIT University uniquely places equal emphasis on such academic placement.
It is rare for any institution of the country to generate so many job offers on Day 1 in ratio to the number of students appearing, opined corporate experts. “Though Schools of Engineering has broken all previous records in placement this season, it is not surprising as KIIT has been posting among the highest placement conversion rates in the country”, said Prof. Saranjit Singh, Head of KIIT Placement Cell who have had reasons enough to be pleased with the placement accomplishments. He added, “It is satisfying that all recruiters had very high opinion on the quality of students here.”
School of Computer Application
School of Computer Application recorded 84% placement with 64 of total 76 registered and eligible MCA students bagging job offers from reputed IT companies. As many as 25 companies visited this school for recruitment. Some of the companies which visited School of Computer Application for campus placement are Deloitte, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, GyanSys Infotech, etc.
School of Biotechnology
Out of 97 eligible students of School of Biotechnology, 95 have so far been offered. Leading biotech companies such as Godrej, Agilent, Nestle, Siemens, VINS Biotech, Syngenta, Intertek, Bionivid Technologies, Scigen Biopharma, Evolva Biotech, BioEra Life Sciences, Britania, etc. participated in the campus placement process. Companies like Lupin Pharma, Zydus Cadila, Lal Path Lab, Mankind Pharma, etc. have confirmed their visit in coming weeks for placement activities. The highest salary in the batch was Rs. 25 lacs (under academic placement in International Laboratories), while the average was Rs. 3.6 lacs. More than 50 students have been selected in reputed national and international institutions / Universities for higher studies. Students have got confirmed offers from top universities in Switzerland, France, Norway, Canada, Poland and Germany for Ph.D. and other higher studies courses.
School of Law
In School of Law, 96 out of 113 eligible and active students registered for Campus Placement process have already been placed in prominent law firms, companies and LPOs. Students are in receipt of offers from nationally renowned law firms like Cyril Amarchand, J Sagar Associates, Khaitan & Co., Wadia Ghandy & Co., etc. This season the highest salary offered was Rs. 8.4 lacs, while average salary in the batch was Rs. 4 lacs. At the time of going to press, more than 10 processes were still continuing, making the placement of remaining students a foregone conclusion.
School of Rural Management
KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) has the unique distinction of cent percent placement from the very first batch (2007-09). With all 33 students of 2014-16 batch of MBA(RM) Programme already placed, this record is set to continue. With 62 job offers from 20 organizations, these 33 students received multiple offers, but are set to join 14 organizations of their preference. Students will be joining in all the prominent sectors of economy - development, semi-government cooperative and corporate sector. The highest salary in the batch was Rs. 7 lacs, while the average salary was Rs. 4.4 lacs. Some of these organizations which visited KSRM are: Techno Serve (TNS, India), GCMMF (Amul); Bihar and Jharkhand Livelihood Promotion Societies; DCB Bank; Annapurna Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd; Satin Creditcare Network Limited (SCNL) and E-Commerce company, GoCoop.
School of Management
School of Management has secured 83% placement for all those who registered for the campus recruitment process this year. As many as 215 out of 259 registered students (2014-16 batch) have already secured jobs. The highest package is Rs. 14.8 lacs, offered by Khimji Ramdas LLC, while average salary across the batch happens to be Rs. 5.08 lacs.
More than 52 globally reputed recruiters have so far visited the campus for placement, such as Khimji Ramdas LLC, TCS, TCS BPS, Dabur, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Futurestep, Spencer Retail, Exide Industries, Vodafone, ITC Limited, Blue Star, Manipal, Karvy Financials, Waare Energies Limited, Saint Gobain, Asain Paints, Berger Paints, Mahindra Finance, NPCI, ZEE Entertainment, XL Dynamics, etc. Placement process is still on – some results are awaited, while more companies have confirmed their visit in the near future.
