Dr. Udai P. Singh, Professor in School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT University has bagged a mega research project worth Rs. 1.4 crore from Department of Science and Technology(DST), Government of India under Solar Energy Research Initiative program. The research project is on “Process development of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin film solar cell on flexible substrate using co-evaporation technique.” The project duration is of three years.
Dr. Singh is working in the area of thin film solar cells for last 16 years. He is also working on the research projects funded by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India. |

Ali, Dy Controller, Examinations, KIIT University has been awarded the prestigious Govinda Gupta Memorial Running Shield and cash award for outstanding contribution to Research & Development works in the State of Odisha on 15th September 2010. The award was given to him by Odisha State Centre, Institution of Engineers (IEI India) on its 43rd Engineer's Day. |

Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, Director, KIIT School of Biotechnology has been nominated by the Steinem Rhein Symposium as the future young technical leader and invited to deliver a talk in September 2010. His trip is sponsored by Steinem Rhein. Dr Mrutyunjay Suar has been invited as the key speaker on the 10th annual celebration of UBS Optimus Foundation and will be speaking on "Innovation and Community Participation". His trip is sponsored by UBS Optimus. |

Dr. Udai P. Singh, Professor, KIIT School of Electronics Engineering has been invited by Moserbaer, India to deliver a talk on CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Diselenide) based thin film solar cell on 28th November, 2009. Moserbaer a giant in optical media is diversifying in Photovoltaic and interested to have a collaborative research project on thin film solar cell with Dr Singh and his group. |

Dr Sucheta Priyabadini, Deputy Registrar, KIIT University has been selected to receive a 2010 Endeavour Research Fellowship of the Australian Government. The Endeavour Awards are the Australian Government's internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing high-achieving individuals with a unique opportunity to undertake study, research or professional development. On successful completion of the Award, she will be inducted as a member of the Endeavour Awards Alumni Network. |
